7/8/2019 We are so thrilled to announce that Tsereth Hash-Shachar has come back home. We sold him back in 2008 and 11 years later he is finally home. His name means "dark before the dawn" in ancient Hebrew. A black colt was born around 3 AM, June 30, 2007, so the name is fitting. He is Vijja's last foal, so sentimentally for us, this is wonderful. Auntie Basquette was his nanny during the weaning process. She taught Shachar and Deborah how to handle their first winter, finding wind breaks in many different areas. She disciplined him when he became to rambunctious. I think memories are resurfacing now for the both of them. Even though he has been left without his buddy, he is drawn to Basquette, and not overly stressed. I wonder if he has memories of his first home. As I was standing with him a little bit ago, I noticed that he has his dam's eye, and her way of moving, even the way he holds his head. He has taken his sire's head, bone, and muscular structure. Both his parents have passed, but a part of Vijja has come home. He is by HPA Moonshaine, a Simeon Shai grandson and out of Faux Vijja, a Crowthers Bi Duke granddaughter that goes back to Babson breeding on top, Crabbet on the tail. We would like to Thank Cathy Swisher for bringing Shachar home.
6/6/2019 We are excited to announce that Ahna will begin her new life as a broodmare. The stallion is a gorgeous black and white pinto American Shetland Pony, (I have seen him - he is gorgeous!) and her new owner believes this will make a fantastic cross. Also, she will be turned out with the mare band on approximately 170 acres of prairie , the most she has ever ran. Future plans may include saddle breaking later in the fall when her owner's summer life slows some. I wish the Anderson family well, and hope Ahna shines.
